In 1799, while rebuilding a fort in a small village called Rashid (Rosetta), French soldiers found a mysterious black rock. We now know this rock as the “Rosetta Stone.” This black rock enabled translators to understand the writings called hieroglyphics thus opening up a better understanding of religion in ancient Egypt.

We too have a “Rosetta Stone” to the bible. It is found in 2nd Corinthians 5:19, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself…” We praise God that He is a restorer and a giver of Life; Life everlasting which begins the very moment we, by faith, receive the gift of His Son, Jesus, into our lives.

Think on These Things

2 Corinthians 5:19 (NASB)
…namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
