“Come see a man.” While I have no criticism of the traditional fall and spring revivals enjoyed by many churches, I do believe there is a more effective method. The Samaritan woman, in John 4:29, was so excited about meeting Jesus that she ran into the city and told others “come see a man.” John 1:40-42 records that Andrew met Jesus and shared the “meeting” with his brother Simon. In Acts 8 the church, not the leaders, went everywhere proclaiming the good news of salvation by grace through faith. Let’s be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and we will experience “fruit that remains.”

Think On These Things

John 4:29 (KJV)
 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?;
John 1:40-42 (KJV)
40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. 42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
