Comprehension and Discernment

Comprehension is translated as perceiving in KJV.

Perceive is in Proverbs about 11 times.

When you comprehend that someone isn’t willing to listen, don’t cast your pearls before swine.

Comprehension and discernment go together.

The word know (yada in Hebrew) means discern.

The word Selah means stop and think.

Truth being in the world doesn’t cause everyone to be free. If you don’t know the truth, then you aren’t free.

Discerning of truth results in a freedom of life for Christians.

A change of direction alone doesn’t change the heart, but a change of heart will change your direction.

We need discernment to know the truth that sets us free.

There is a dual meaning in Proverbs 5.

Scripture coming from:

Proverbs 5, 14 &  22, Psalms 60, Isaiah 54
